Sony Ericsson W8 di lengkapi dengan layar 3 inci, W8 keluar dengan aplikasi unik Sony Ericsson yaitu Infinite Button dan Timescape. Jika kita memainkan musik di Walkman, melalui Infinite Button, musik tersebut akan langsung terhubung ke Youtube, sehingga user dapat melihat video clip lagu tersebut.

Demikian pula dengan Timescape. Jika user membuka phonebook dan memilih nomor kontak seseorang, dengan tombol Timescape, nomor kontak orang tersebut akan terhubung langsung dengan akun Facebook dan Twitter-nya.
